02 / Something to look up for

Discover a
celestial event.

Explore local eclipses, meteor shower estimates and planet parades. Start with Highlights or Daily sky, then choose an event to see its place in the sky.

An event card keeps the details close while you explore. For an eclipse, turn on Actual geometry to see the Sun and Moon at their physical apparent sizes.

03 / A place in history

A different place.
A different sky.

Find a city, address or landmark in Places search. Keep the same moment, change your vantage point, and see how the sky changes.

Explore the historical sky above an archaeological site. Preview an exact point, adjust it on the map, then save and use the place when it is right.

04 / Find & follow

Find a pattern.
Follow a world.

Search the Sun, Moon, planets, stars and all 88 modern constellations—and yes, even Pluto. Find something that catches your eye, then keep it in view as time moves.

Tap a star or planet to bring its information into view. Follow an individual star, watch the Moon change phase, or explore a constellation—even when it’s below the horizon.

05 / Keep & share

Keep a moment.
Share its sky.

Name a moment and come back to it. Saved Times keeps the exact instant, from a morning next week to a night thousands of years ago.

Share a link with a sky sigil made for that place and moment. Open a received moment in Astra, explore its sky, then choose Now whenever you are ready to return.

06 / Find your bearings

Turn toward
the sky.

Let Compass follow your phone’s heading. Turn to explore another direction, or take over with a drag.

A finely marked horizon keeps north, south, east and west in sight. Your exact bearing appears as the view moves, then quietly fades.

07 / A sense of place

Modern landscapes.
Ancient skies.

Watch the sky meet the landscape. Terrain follows the contours around your chosen location, giving every view a horizon of its own.

See the contours around a place, from nearby hills to distant ridgelines. Manage downloaded terrain in Settings when you need to make room.

Today’s terrain stays fixed while the sky moves through time. First preparation needs a connection; cached terrain reopens offline.
